Peoples Church Football Club (PCFC) was founded in April 2010 by Jon Boyers and Dan Churchman, with the intention of being a welcoming, community and church based football club.
The aims of the club are:
To be an arena in which people can enjoy keeping fit, playing football socially, and getting to know people in and around the church environment.
To open the doors of the church to residents of Partington and South Manchester.
To create opportunities for local community members to have an exposure to the gospel.
PCFCs mission statement is...
To play football to the best of our God given abilities in a manner that honours and respects our team-mates, the opposition and officials as we represent the church in Partington.
The club are a non profit making entity and are a church football team but strongly encourage those both with or without a church background to join the squad. If that is you - please contact [email protected]
The club train on Thursday nights in Summer (July - September) 7.00 - 8.30 on Cross Lane Playing fields.
During Autumn and Winter the club train on the 3G Partington sports village complex from 7.30 - 9.00.
The clubs home colours are mid blue shirts, navy shorts, mid blue socks.
The away strip is; dark maroon tops, navy shorts, navy socks.
The clubs home ground is - Moss View playing field - Moss View Road, Partington, M31 4DX.
Affiliations and links
The club is affiliated to The Peoples Church - Partington. The club also are grateful for a grant awarded by JSG Charitable Foundation. Ambassadors in Sport are also supported through the league, in which PCFC compete.
- April 2010: Club formed
- April 2011: Promoted to SMCCFL Division 3 after first season
- September 2011: Entered SMCCFL Division 3
- April 2012: Promoted to SMCCFL Division 2 after second season
- September 2012: Entered SMCCFL Division 2 in third season as a club
- April 2013: Promoted to SMCCFL Division 1 after third season, celebrating 3 successive promotions
- September 2013: Entered SMCCFL Division 1
- May 2015: Relegated from SMCCFL Division 1 after 2 seasons in the top flight, finishing 3rd and 7th respectively

PCFC have entered the 2nd Division of the South Manchester and Cheshire Christian Football League for the 2015/16 season. This league competition has been succesfully running for 13 seasons.
This season PCFC compete in two cups - The league and The league trophy.
